Doona i Car Seat & Stroller ADAC test

Authors

Intro

Previously, I wrote about the differences between Doona +, Doona i, and Doona X. Back in June 2024, the Doona i hybrid car seat had not yet been tested by ADAC. However, in October 2024, it was finally tested and achieved a good result. The test was conducted both with a seat belt and with a Doona i Isofix Base. Let’s take a closer look at the best features, disadvantages, ADAC test results, and specifications of the Doona i.

I always emphasize that the Doona is not a substitute for a traditional stroller—it serves a different purpose. While it’s perfect for quick errands like doctor visits or coffee runs, it’s not designed for long walks or carrying extra essentials. At its core, the Doona is a car seat with wheels, offering unmatched convenience for short trips but falling short as an all-in-one travel solution. Many parents invest in it expecting a full stroller replacement, only to realize they still need a separate stroller for longer outings.

Conclusion

The Doona i continues to be a strong contender in the hybrid car seat market, with its enhanced safety features, comfort, and ADAC certification.
