Important: This article is not a full summary of the ADAC Autumn 2025 child seat test, which will be officially published on October 21, 2025. This is an advance warning highlighting two car seats — the Chipolino Olympus i-Size and Reecle 360 (ZA10 i-Size) — that failed the crash test and are considered unsafe for children. Parents should read this as a safety alert, not a complete test report.
The ADAC Autumn 2025 child car seat test has revealed serious safety deficiencies in two models: the Chipolino Olympus i-Size and Reecle 360 (ZA10 i-Size). Both models failed the crash test and received an overall rating of "unsatisfactory". ADAC strongly advises against purchasing these seats, even though they are legally approved for children between 40 and 150 cm.
⚠️ Head-on Collision: Two Child Seats Fail
During crash tests with rearward-facing dummies, the seat shells of both models detached from their substructures. In a real-world collision, this creates a high risk of serious injury to the child.
The frontal impact tests used by ADAC are based on Euro NCAP severity levels and are far more demanding than the minimum requirements of UN R129 child seat approval.
Chipolino Olympus i-Size
- Child size range: 40–150 cm
- Installation variants: Rearward-facing (40–87 cm), Forward-facing with harness (76–105 cm), Belted forward-facing (100–150 cm)
- Problem: In rearward-facing tests, the seat shell detached from the base and threw the dummy forward, risking severe injury.
💡 Note: The manufacturer states that the Chipolino Olympus i-Size is sold out, but some stock may still be available at retailers.
Reecle 360 (ZA10 i-Size)
- Child size range: 40–150 cm
- Installation variants: Rearward-facing, Forward-facing with harness, Belted forward-facing
- Problem: In rearward-facing tests with a 15-kg dummy, the rotating seat plate detached. Even though the top tether kept it partially connected, the seat and dummy spun dangerously inside the car.
⚠️ The Reecle 360 is listed under multiple names online, including ZA10 i-Size and 946i i-Size, which can confuse buyers.
Ps.: last year Peg Perego Viaggio FF105 i-Size also failed the ADAC test and was recalled by the manufacturer.→

📝 What Parents Should Do
Parents who purchased either the Chipolino Olympus i-Size or Reecle 360 (ZA10 i-Size) should:
- Stop using the seat immediately
- Contact the retailer to request a goodwill allowance
- Check if purchase is within the last two years for possible defect claims
Although both seats meet EU legal requirements, their ADAC test failures highlight serious safety risks.
💡 Stay informed! All results from the ADAC Autumn 2025 child seat test will be published on October 21, 2025. Always check test results before buying a seat.
